How I Earn Amazon Commissions Step by Step

How to Earn Amazon General Commissions

As we all know, using SEO requires a huge amount of time and effort.
With every Google update, things get harder and harder.

Paid advertising, on the other hand, requires high ad costs, and the commissions are often very low.

So how can we find a profitable strategy that reduces ad costs and increases commissions?

Believe me, the regular Amazon affiliate commissions are no longer profitable.
Only Amazon’s general commission is truly lucrative.

What is the Amazon General Commission?

According to the Amazon Affiliate Program, as long as a user makes any purchase within 24 hours after clicking your affiliate link, you will earn a commission on all of their purchases.

For example:
When you promote product A and a user buys product A, you earn the commission for A.
If the user also buys product B, you will also earn a commission for B.
You get commissions for everything the user buys during that 24-hour period.
That’s what the general commission means.

Unfortunately, in most cases, you spend lots of time on SEO or paid ads, and users end up only buying the product you promoted — not other high-value products.
That means you don’t make much profit.

My 5-Year Journey to Increasing Amazon Commissions

For the past 5 years, I’ve been researching strategies to increase Amazon commissions.
Until the rise of AI — which helped me analyze massive amounts of data — I finally succeeded.

I used ChatGPT, SEMrush, and Google Ads for analysis.
Through my method, I discovered a way to find low-cost products with very cheap CPC and low competition — but whose buyers often also purchase high-value related products.

This makes perfect sense.
For example, when someone wants to buy a mite removal spray, they are very likely to also buy a bed, bedroom furniture, or large storage boxes.

Why?
Because a mite removal spray is a must-have for a new bedroom — and moving into a new home usually means buying new bedroom items.

Compared with beds or bedroom furniture, the competition for mite removal spray is much lower, so you can easily use Google Ads with low CPC to promote it.
In this way, you use a low-cost, low-competition product to drive purchases of high-value, high-competition products — making your campaign highly profitable.

Let’s Do the Math

Let’s say you promote mite removal spray with Google Ads:

  • CPC for mite removal spray: $0.15
  • Average price of large bedroom furniture: $300
  • 1,000 ad clicks = $150 cost (1,000 × $0.15)

Assuming a 3% conversion rate for high-value co-purchases and a 3% Amazon commission rate:

Revenue = 1,000 × 3% × 300 × 3% = $270
Net profit = $270 – $150 = $120

That’s $120 per day, and over 30 days, that’s $3,600/month.

If you can find more products like this, your profit can scale indefinitely.
For example, if you find 20 similar products, that’s $72,000 per month.

Of course, it requires a lot of time and effort to build.

This eBook will teach you step by step how to build a profitable traffic arbitrage project — how to find products like the mite removal spray:

  • Sufficient market demand
  • Decent search volume
  • Very low CPC bids
  • And capable of driving purchases of high-value items.
